This is the perfect way to honor or remember someone who has faced the challenges of a cancer diagnosis or other lifealtering disease. With your $5 donation, you can have that person's name appear on a commemorative butterly. These butterflies will then be placed on the grounds at the Federal Building prior to the event. You are welcome to take the butterfly home after the run.

The Baker High School French Honor Society and French Club teamed up to raise $1,000 for Paige's Butterfly Run this year. Stephanie Guillet (left), daughter of Baker High French teacher Abbe Guillet, presents Paige's parents Ellen Yeomans and Chris Arnold with the check.

Michael Laux, manager of the Camillus NY Wal*Mart, and associate Donna Bottoms "Running for Paige" during lunch hour at their store.

Michael raised $10,008 for Paige's Butterfly Run in 2008 by collecting donations and taking sponsorships for every one of the 300 miles that he ran. Hats off to Michael and his team for their innovative approach, hard work, and dedication to helping the children of Central New York!

In 2007 Paige’s Butterfly Run raised $97,000 to benefit the children of Central New York. After event expenses we returned $90,000 to the CNY community as follows:

  • $30,000 to Paige's Cancer Research Fund – to fund research at University Hospital in applications for pediatric oncology.
  • $20,000 to Paige's Family Assistance Fund - solely to help families at the Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders having financial difficulties due to their child's illness.  Distributed by the Social Work department at the Center.
  • $15,000 to the Paige Yeomans Arnold Memorial Endowment Fund - a permanent endowment established with the Upstate Medical University Foundation, a portion of which is used each year to fund research and to provide financial assistance to families having difficulties due to their child's illness.
  • $15,000 to Paige’s Family Fun Fund – providing the Child Life Specialists on 5C and 7H at the Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders with the resources for family meals, celebrations for birthdays and holidays and to generally lighten their lives during very difficult times.
  • $10,000 to the Baldwinsville Community Scholarship Foundation – to fund permanent annual scholarships in Paige's memory at Baker High in Baldwinsville.
